Olga Botero Teaches Cybersecurity at UCEMA’s Next Board Program

Last week, Seccuri’s co-founder Olga Botero had the privilege of teaching a cybersecurity class at the Universidad del CEMA, as part of the KPMG and WCD Argentina - WomenCorporateDirectors Argentina Next Board Program. This program is designed to equip Board Directors and aspiring Board Directors with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the complexities of cybersecurity.

Olga, alongside esteemed colleagues Walter Ariel Risi and Gustavo A. Díaz, shared invaluable insights with the participants. This initiative is commendable for its role in preparing aspiring Board Members and enhancing the capabilities of existing ones.

Key Messages from Olga’s Session:

  • Board Responsibility: Directors must ensure that cyber risk is addressed seriously and clearly by their companies.
  • Staying Informed: Directors should stay updated on global cyber risk and cybercrime trends and understand their business implications.
  • Growing Cyber Risk: As cyber risks grow, companies need robust protection, detection, response, and recovery capabilities.
  • Talent and Governance: Effective cyber risk management requires strong talent and governance, including a capable CISO who can communicate with the Board.
  • Board Agenda: Cybersecurity should be a regular topic on the Board’s agenda.

We extend our gratitude to Universidad del CEMA, KPMG, and WCD Argentina - WomenCorporateDirectors for inviting Olga to be part of this impactful program. Special thanks to Walter Ariel Risi and Gustavo A. Díaz for sharing the stage with Olga. It is an honor to collaborate with such distinguished cybersecurity experts.
