Seccuri at the LATAM CISO Summit 2024: Driving Cloud Security

Seccuri recently participated in the LATAM CISO Summit 2024, a prominent cybersecurity event held in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. This summit brought together key decision-makers from various industries across Latin America to discuss and collaborate on enhancing the region's cybersecurity landscape.

Our Co-Founder and Chair, Olga Botero, led an engaging panel discussion titled "Trust in the Cloud." The panel featured esteemed cybersecurity leaders, including Fabio Peña, CISO of Copa Airlines; Xavier Alberto Carrera Mackenzie, CISO of Banistmo; Arturo Cabañas, Principal Security Assurance at Amazon Web Services (AWS); and Jason Merrick, Senior VP of Product at Tenable.

The discussion highlighted the cloud's role as a business enabler, promoting agility and strengthening operations. The panelists identified three key takeaways:

  • Safe Configuration is Key: Ensuring that cloud environments are configured securely to prevent vulnerabilities.
  • Development of Strong Vendor Relationships: Building robust partnerships with cloud service providers to enhance security measures.
  • Strengthening Ecosystem Collaboration: Fostering cooperation among organizations, clients, vendors, and regulators to create a resilient cybersecurity framework.

Olga emphasized the importance of these insights, stating, "Cloud has become a business enabler, allowing organizations to work in an agile way and have stronger operations."

Seccuri's participation in the LATAM CISO Summit 2024 underscores our commitment to advancing cybersecurity practices in the region. We are honored to have contributed to discussions that shape the future of cloud security and look forward to continued collaboration with industry leaders.

We extend our gratitude to the organizers of the LATAM CISO Summit 2024 for providing a platform to share knowledge and insights. Together, we aim to build a more secure digital environment across Latin America.
